	Things are looking up, and frankly they couldn't have been too much worse! I'm Alma, and yes, I'm a Pit Bull, but I am a rather petite Pit Bull and I was living on the streets, which means I got beat up a lot. I just LOVE people, but I'd just as soon keep to myself without any other dogs. I am about one and a half years old, very well behaved, so if you would like just one dog, I hope you will want me!
	Liberty! I was liberated from a sad situation, hence my name, Liberty, you can call me Libby. I am a 2 year old Shepherd mix and I am one happy, happy girl. I'm smart, loving, playful, and would look smashing sitting next to you!
	This is a picture of me, Sascha, I'm 7 months old, and my Mom Laurie is 4 years old. We are Yellow Lab mixes. Before we came to Amanda we were kept in a small dirty place without clean water or anyone who cared about us....it was really bad. Now we have our own kennel, clean blankets and lots of people who visit us everyday, walk us, pet us, they are so nice...but, if its not ungrateful or anything, what we would really like is our own family. We are very gentle doggies, we love EVERYBODY! Could you mebbe love us?
	I'm Mandy Min-Pin, I am about 7 years old and I am very fond of people, less so of other dogs. They're noisy and get into all sorts of things. Not me, I am a polite lady dog, looking for a calm home we can call our own, doesn't that sound lovely? Mini Pinschers are popular dogs and some people have called about me, but you see, I don't have pretty feet. Yes, I was born with feet that look like they might suit a duck better, but I get around just fine, no problem running or anything, they just look different. So if you don't mind a gal with "fancy feet" call me!
	"Casper the Friendly...Dog" That has a nice ring doesn't it? I am 3 years old, I like other dogs, kids, and adults. I speak French, play the guitar and have in my possession a winning lottery ticket! Okay... none of that is true, I mean my name IS Casper, but the other stuff was just to hope to get you interested, the truth is I'm a small (16lbs) white dog that would very much like to be yours.
	Yeah, so I am only 5lbs, so what?! I'm Adam, a 10 month old Mini Pinscher, you wanna piece of me?! Yeah, I didn't think so! Ok, here's how this goes down. I like to be carried most places, I liked to be kissed on the top of my head, I sleep on your pillow OR under the covers, MY choice. I like to eat my food and whatever is on your plate that looks good...ok, that's negotiable. I like to play, play, play, and if you have another tiny dog that would be great 'cause I like other dogs. If you'd like to be my loyal devotee call me and I will review your resume.
	I'm Brandie, and frankly I could use a drink. Get this, I'm in my home with my I-thought-loved-me-so-much person and then all of a sudden, after 6 years, BOOM! I get dumped! Ok, I know I'm not the first blonde in Hollywood to be turfed from a relationship, but I swear I do not know what went wrong! If you are interested in a 7 year old Jindo/Lab cross, I still remain faithful to the dream of commitment. I am housebroken and love to lie at your feet. It hurts to be rejected but as Scarlet said "Tomorrow is anotha day!"
	Nacho is my moniker and I'm 20lbs of All American Mixbreed. I've got so many types of dog in my family that you could say I am the "United Nations of Dog." I like other dogs and most people. I'm about 4 years old and up for anything that you think is fun!

	Pardon me, I don't mean to interrupt, but I was hoping to make your aquaintance? I'm Lindsey, and I know, lots of people don't even want to think about adopting a Pit but I am hoping you might give me a chance to tell you my story. I've had lots and lots of puppies, I'm not sure what happened to them but it seemed I was always with little ones. I ended up at the pound with my last bunch of sweeties, they didn't look anything like me, more like Labs and so they were easy to find homes for. I was so happy for them, 'cause life for my breed is very often..well, "The Pits!" I didn't expect to be rescued with them, very few people are interested in an adult Pit Bull, but I was happy that at least my kids had a chance. Imagine my surprise when the lady from Amanda said, "We'll take the Mommy too, we never just take the pups!" Well!, you could have knocked me over with a Snausage! So here I am at The Amanda Foundation! The volunteers here tell me what a good girl I am because I am housebroken, walk well on a leash, don't bark and am pretty calm. I am happy on my own and prefer to be the only dog, but I am a piece of cake, and would be so very grateful for a home of my own. Dog Adoption Procedure:

Please call The Amanda Foundation at (310) 278-2935 to make an appointment to see one of our dogs. It is important that we have the opportunity to talk with you about what you are looking for in a canine companion. Also by speaking with you we can give you much more information about the dogs on our site. We have many more orphans that are not on the website and we can tell you about them as well. Some of our dogs are in foster homes and need to be brought to us for adoption interviews. We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and remember, we show our pals by appointment only.
