Adult & Senior Wellness
Compared to humans, pets age at a much faster rate. Because of this it is imperative that your pet receives the correct preventative care, as well as early detection exams. By keeping your pet’s wellness screenings up to date, you can help identify illness and disease at an early stage.
If your pet is over the age of 7, they should be seen by a veterinarian for a health screening every six months. These important examinations help catch any problems that could harm your pet. Much like you and I, our maturing pets can face illnesses such as arthritis, dental diseases, vision complications, diabetes, and cancer, kidney liver and intestinal disorders.
Keep an eye out for your dog or cat, be on the lookout for signs of illness. Be sure to talk to your veterinarian if you observe any of the following:
Lack of energy or lethargic behavior
Increased water drinking or urination
Unexpected or explained loss of weight
Lack of appetite
Vomiting or diarrhea
Lumps, bumps, growths or irritation in the skin
Changes in behavior
Bleeding gums, plaque on teeth or bad breath
Scratching at the ears, ear redness or odor
Sensitivity or lame behavior
