We’re always happy to have people help with our rescue pets.
If you are 18 or over, you’ll need to attend one of our Volunteer Orientations, held at 11am on the first Saturday of every month here at Amanda Foundation. Wear long pants and sneakers! After completing the orientation, you are welcome to stop by any time to walk and socialize the dogs!
Younger volunteers can make a big difference by participating in our Amanda Wags program. By helping Amanda Foundation raise money, youngsters can make a real impact on the lives of animals in their community.
We couldn’t do this alone! We love our community, and always look forward to bringing our friends – and their pets – together. Even though we’re taking on a serious issue, we can have fun while we’re at it. Check our event calendar for what’s next.
Like the animals we work so hard for, our facility could use a little help. The building we call home was constructed in 1924 out of stucco and wood, and has seen better days. A new building and equipment will sustain our charity and allow us to expand our Spaymobile program. Additional space will let us increase our educational programs and improve the living conditions for the dogs and cats we house, which will increase adoptions. Please call 310.278.2935 for information about giving to our new facility.
Last year, over 3 million pets were euthanized in shelters across the country, so solving this problem won’t be easy. But with our rescue, our hospital and our Spaymobile, we believe love will find a way. Your donation makes it possible. Thank you.
