At the Amanda Foundation, we take pride in being trailblazers. We partnered with the LA City to establish the nation’s strongest spay/neuter ordinance, tackling overpopulation at its roots.

Now, we aim to create systemic change once again—this time in how facilities are designed and how they care for pets.

Transforming animal shelters...

Every dog and cat deserves a safe, loving space to heal and find their forever home. Unfortunately, city- and county-owned shelters are mandated to build on tight budgets that prioritize cost over comfort, creating overcrowded, stressful environments that hinder healing and adoption.

That’s why we’re creating a state-of-the-art shelter to set a new standard for animal care—one that inspires hope and provides a loving, uplifting space where dogs and cats can thrive and is a pleasure for people to visit.
