THE AMANDA FOUNDATION
ET

Thank you to all our guests who came to make "Pattern for Paws" a huge success!

In addition to raising much needed funds, several of our orphan doggies found homes. We are also very grateful to the Pacific Design Center for making this event possible and all the sponsors and volunteers who worked so hard to make this event a home run!

In Latin the name “Amanda” means worthy of love, so our charity is named not for a person but for our philosophy towards our Dog and Cat companions. They are worthy of our love and protection. For over 30 years our mission has been to rescue as many loyal pals from the shelters and then find them loving new homes. At the same time we endeavor to educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter in order to reduce pet overpopulation.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

FEATURED ANGEL

Our featured angels are orphans that are looking for their forever home. If you can adopt, please contact us. If you can't adopt, please consider donating. The cost of rescuing and then rehabbing is expensive and no gift is too small. Even $5.00 buys a vaccination that is much needed You are their voice and their only hope. You can make a difference.

OUR CURRENT FEATURED ANGEL:

Rescued Scottish Fold calico cat prepares for audition at The Amanda Foundation

Mimsey is a young Dilute Calico Scottish Fold cat in need of someone to love. Rescued in a raid on a hoarder, she has never had the cuddling she should have had as a kitten. Would you like to make up for that now? Adopt Mimsey!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
marcia "I love the Amanda Foundation ... it is an amazing organization. My first Amanda dog was my beloved Bingo.  I had him for a quarter of my life and boy did he make it a better one.  Now it's me and Sara.  I can't imagine getting a new four legged friend anywhere else. I send love and appreciation to everyone there." -- Marcia Wallace (Emmy-Winning actress, regular on The Simpsons; starred as Carol Kester on The Bob Newhart Show)

maybel

We adopted our dog Maybel nine years ago. She is still doing great and as you can see she loves her baby sister (also adopted but from China, not Beverly Hills) I am so grateful for the love and joy Maybel has brought to our family over the years.   Thanks for all you do.  -- Eric Beetner

bartley

"My boyfriend and I had never rescued a pet before, so we were a little nervous.  But it couldn't have been a better decision! Bartley is the best dog! He's super smart, loving, obedient/loyal, and very trusting. He knows how much we love him, and he gives us unending love in return. He has become quite famous with our circle of friends as well -- he's the life of the party at BBQs! We love our little boy, and owe it all to the Amanda Foundation and their wonderful staff! Thanks!!"  -- April and Rickett
