Creating Compassion

The purpose of our Creating Compassion program is to strengthen the caring bond between humans and animals. It’s a concept that needs to be learned. We teach children that animals require the same basic needs as humans: food, shelter and love.

Our hands-on classes include our rescued pets and technical tools to teach kids the difference between a virus and bacteria, how to use a microscope, what ultrasound and x-rays are, how good nutrition influences behavior, the psychology of training, how to prevent parasite infection, and more. The program consists of 10 hours of instruction per semester, where working professionals are on-site in the classroom.

These classes are also an introduction to the many possible career choices that await them. By interacting and getting to know our rescue pets, the compassion bond is formed, creating a lifelong respect for the lives of all animals.
